What the service provides

Clip Insights helps you create personal study material from supported YouTube pages through notes, screenshots, transcript-based AI tools and PDF exports. Availability depends on the browser, video, transcript, account permissions, quotas and supporting services. Features can change as the project develops.

The product currently supports desktop Chrome and YouTube watch pages. Other sites, mobile environments and every individual video are not guaranteed to work. Account features rely on supporting services and an internet connection.

Accounts and acceptable use

Keep account credentials and access to your browser profile secure. Provide accurate account information and do not use another person's account without permission. Do not attempt to bypass quotas, disrupt the service, access another user's files or submit malicious content.

Use the product in accordance with applicable law, platform terms and your institution's academic rules. Do not use AI output to misrepresent work as your own where disclosure or independent work is required.

Your content and source material

You retain your rights in the original notes and material you create. You give the service permission to process and store the content you submit as necessary to provide the requested functions, such as generating an AI answer or storing an uploaded PDF.

A video frame, transcript or quotation may belong to someone else. Capturing or exporting it does not transfer ownership or provide permission to republish it. Respect copyright, access restrictions and creator rights. You are responsible for having the right to upload or share material.

AI output needs checking

Summaries and answers can be inaccurate, incomplete or based on a faulty transcript. They may miss visual details and do not replace the original source or qualified professional advice. Check important claims before relying on or sharing them. Clip Insights does not guarantee particular learning, academic or productivity outcomes.

Storage and backups

Local notes and screenshots are stored in your browser. They are not an automatic cloud backup. Export and retain copies of important work before clearing data, changing profiles or removing the extension.

Uploading a PDF saves an exported document, not an editable synchronized copy of the entire local timeline. Storage and usage limits apply. See Privacy for data handling and Guides for the distinction between local data and uploaded files.

Plans and payments

Guest and account allowances may differ. Current plan limits and options are available in the web application. Any applicable prices and payment terms are presented before purchase.

No payment is collected through this public site.

Availability, changes and responsibility

The service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access, permanent storage or error-free results. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the project does not provide warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on AI output or failure to keep your own backups. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Access may be restricted for abuse, security concerns or violations of these terms. You can stop using the service at any time. Uninstalling the extension does not itself delete a Clip Insights account; send an account deletion request through Contact.

These terms may be updated as the product changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Contact us if you have a question about use, your account or your data.
