PRODUCT GUIDE

Notes, screenshots & PDF exports

Connect notes to the video, create a useful PDF, and keep your finished study documents in one place.

A video timeline connects a piece of study material to its playback time. Text notes capture your reasoning; snapshots capture the visual explanation. They complement each other.

Write and revisit notes

Use the note composer to add your explanation at the current point in the video. You can edit a saved note or remove an item from the timeline. Selecting a timestamp takes you back to the corresponding part of the video.

Write enough context to make the note useful later. “Use the second approach when the input changes” is more helpful if you also say what the second approach is and why the input matters.

Capture a screenshot

Select Snapshot while the desired frame is visible. Check the result in the timeline before relying on it. Motion, an obscured frame or restrictions on the video can affect a capture. Screenshots are downscaled for local storage; they are study references, not original-resolution video exports.

The screenshot and your accompanying explanation may be separate timeline items. Capture first, then add the note at the same point if you want to connect them in your exported material.

Download a PDF

  1. Review the timeline and remove accidental duplicates.
  2. Select Download and wait for the PDF to finish generating.
  3. Open the file, confirm its contents and give it a useful name in your own file system.
  4. Keep the PDF outside the extension so you have a copy if local browser storage is removed.

An export uses the material currently saved for that video. It is a snapshot of your study session at export time, not a document that automatically updates whenever you edit a note.

Upload a PDF to your account

Sign in and select Upload to save the generated PDF to your web library, within your account storage allowance. Give your finished study material a place to return to from another device.

Uploading a PDF does not synchronize the underlying local timeline. Another browser or computer will not automatically acquire your editable notes and screenshots just because the PDF is in your account.

Clearing and deleting

Removing a timeline item changes the local collection. Clearing browser data, using a different browser profile or removing the extension can make local material unavailable. Export first.

Deleting an uploaded file in the web app is a separate action from removing a local note or deleting a PDF from your downloads folder. For an account-level deletion request, use Contact.

Share thoughtfully

Your own notes may contain quotations or video frames owned by someone else. Keep their source attached and respect the creator's rights and your course rules before sharing a PDF publicly. Do not include private information you would not want a recipient to see.
